Passion on Purpose
Have you ever found yourself caught up in a career path that you didn’t intend to follow? My own experience, and working with clients from a variety of backgrounds, is evidence that you are not alone! Maybe you were a terrific computer programmer and because you were so amazing you were "promoted" right out of the job you were so good at - programming. Now you are in charge of leading a team of programmers, which uses a completely different skill set that you may or may not like or be any good at. But the good news is that you don't have to stay on a path that is not leading you where you want to go.
You can decide today to start pursuing your passion on purpose. It all starts with the decision. The, “I just can’t take it anymore” or “gotta make a change before it’s too late,” moment that helps us have an awareness of just how off-track we've gotten. We can decide to make sure that the direction we’re headed is aligned with who we are and where we want to be in the future.
